Ingredients:

2 pk Dried peas
1 Onion
1/4 c Dried garlic chips
1 cn Minced tomatoes (440g)
1 cn Tomato/spaghetti sauce
-(440g)
2 lb Ground turkey or beef (500g)
3 Boullion cubes, dissolved in
-a little warm water
2 tb Oil
Salt, pepper, oregano, dill


Instructions:

Rinse peas well and place in crockpot with enough water to cover them and a few inches more. Cook overnight on LOW until cooked down and almost smooth. Saute chopped onion in oil, add spices and salt to taste, add turkey or beef and boullion water and simmer until turkey is cooked. Add tomatoes and tomato sauce and garlic... simmer until heated through... add to pea soup and simmer for six hours on LOW, adding water if necessary. Let soup mature in fridge overnight. Eat.... with homeade bread or crackers. Source: Annette Spence
